I've been working with Ron for a several years now. Stylistically, Ron has
a great eye for composition, which is especially helpfully when he combines elements of different size, color and shape into his art. Here's the bonus - Ron understands the Windows NT environment. When I present a concept for a photo/illustration to Ron (for example, security) he knows the technological basics, and adds value to the images he creates by knowing what types of imagery to add to his compositions. After a brief chat on the phone, he's on his way to creating a rich, colorful interpretation that I can always count on to be technically accurate. Ron's October 1996 cover for Windows NT Magazine on security still stands as a powerful example of his collaborative efforts with us.

Windows NT Magazine Creative Director
Over the past several years Ron Brown has created illustrations for many of PC Magazines compelling and complex stories. As an Art Director at PC Magazine it is my job to work with illustrators that not only use the latest technology in todays maket but those who can create conceptual images which lore readers directly into such articles: Ron Brown does just that. Ron is able to use his own collection of digital photographs, with the use of color and blance, to create innovative eye-catching work. This makes working with Ron easy. His flexible nature to combine and play with concepts allows him to work on many difficult stories which at first seem immposible to illustrate. I can allways take comforts when Ron is illustrating my assigned articles-the final image is crisp, clean, and of course strong!!
